Talamantes Villegas Carrera LLP

I was referred to this firm through the CELA website. I called for a case review, and I was under the impression I would have had a consult with an attorney, not have an intake with the legal assistant. I had my intake with the legal assistant on a Thursday, and I did tell her that it was difficult for me to obtain documents for the attorneys to review as to whether or not they'd take my case. Mind you, I would not have a chance to talk to an attorney at ALL if that is the intake process. But given I work full time and it was overall emotionally draining, which she was understanding. I was not given a hard deadline. I was sent an email the following Wednesday morning for follow up, and I did not respond. Once I finally received something from their attorney, it was a disengagement letter, saying they would not take my case, the same day. I overall did not like their intake process, lack of hearing from an attorney, and that I was only gievn one follow up before getting a disengagement letter from the attorney at the firm. It was in poor taste and made me think how their firm would even handle my case if they took it.

It is a law firm and they are very efficient in my point of view. The lawyer Karen Carrera is very kind and helped me and was there at all times when I was working on her.
