I thought the last HOA management company had shady lawyers, ha! Apparently that's the norm for HOA management companies. I've read Indiana Code, articles of incorporation, Bylaws, and CC&Rs front to back, many times, yet these lawyers feel free to materialize legal opinions that are not written in those documents. They subvert any democratic procedure in our HOA. The more money they help the Board collect from paying homeowners the more money they will ultimately collect. You know, since they said they can't take collection actions on the neighborhood deadbeats because there isn't available funds to pay them! Get ready for your BBB and AG complaints as well as anything else I can find. I will not be silent while you take money from honest homeowners.
Their name should be changed to "Kovid Shifty Nasty." Their name is pretty annoying and I'm not even sure why I have to deal with these simps. The good news is thugs like myself have more power in a liberal city like Chicago. Any threats from Kovid Shifty Nasty are meaningless to me.
These people basically have a business model of stealing from the middle class person. People who can’t afford a lawyer and stand up to their unfair business practice. They will file a claim against you for being 1 month late of your hoa bill and then not pick up their phone for 2 months straight in order to increase fees. Call their number almost 20 times to make a payment and they refuse to pick up just so they can increase fees. Horrible business! Horrible service! Unfair fees!
This law firm does a great job assisting our HOAs and their various needs. I only have good things to say about this firm!
I had judgment against me that this law firm handled so I made the payment immediately after I received the judgement. I was informed by the courts there would be a two week hold on the payment before the law firm would receive the check. Well it’s now been almost 3 weeks and the law firm has received the payment and I know this because I was informed of it by the property management group that they represent. But yet Tanner Law has not sent them the payment and I feel this is a tactic to use against me so that they can keep assessing me with late fees and to collect interest. Whenever I try to contact this law group they never will return phone calls in a timely manner. I am honestly about to report them to the Bar Association along with the Indiana Attorney Generals Office due to there unethical practice. I know this is being done to me so they can continue to try to collect fees against me on a debt that I made restitution on.
