Young assertive attorney! Extremely impressed with her knowledge and ability to handle an active courtroom trial! Most attorneys just do not know how to be so assertive and effective. She's in no way intimidated by opposition or taking a case to trial (with great success) to protect her clients! She is one of Tallahasse's best!

I hesitated posting a review but I hired her in August of 2018 after representing myself 8 months. I got more accomplished when I didn’t have an attorney that when I did. After hiring her it took her a month to file her Notice of Appearance as my attorney of record. The opposing party filed a demand for documents that she never told me about, I found nearly a month later - not long after they were “due” to be sent back and it wasn’t because she told me. It was because I looked online at my case and saw it. She constantly blamed her legal assistants and even told me she is ready to throw in the towel because she didn’t have enough “time” to do her job. I fired her in March 2019 after my case went nowhere. No documents were ever filed after I sent her everything the other attorney requested and she never reached out to me about anything even after I had called/emailed. She was constantly “sick” or out of the office because family members were sick or in the hospital.

Communication is terrible. Once paid she could not be reached for 3 months! I had no idea if I had court, mediation, or anything for that matter to attend to! She waited until the last day at lunch time to respond to a 30 day petition which had me on the edge of my seat especially since this case was dealing with my son’s custody. She routinely bad mouths and makes fun of her clients on her personal Facebook page, she can be seen out partying, drinking, and making jokes about her job on Facebook as well. Lastly, her 5-star reviews you’ll see on here are from her personal friends. If you do a little investigating, you’ll find they’re all connected on Facebook and regularly tag and post with each other. Her page is public (currently) so please check for yourself before you consider hiring her as she is terribly unprofessional! PS-I have screenshots of everything and a time stamped copy of the petition response should anyone wish to see!

DON'T DO IT!!!! Ms Thomas is sweet and kind UNTIL she gets your money after that you'll have to hire an investigator to make contact with her. Call after call and no response. If you're lucky she might call you and ADVISE that she's really busy with other cases. Again, do what you must it's your money ????

Shelly has taken care of several members of my family on different legal matters and is always approachable and down to earth. She is excellent at her job and knows her way around the courtroom. Both her and her office staff are professional and courteous. Communication is excellent between us. I trust her whole heartedly with my legal matters.
