Peter was the sole reason that a criminal DUI case against me was dismissed. From the instant I had contact with the police, I was on the defensive despite not having done anything wrong. The police officer arrested me unfairly, without reading me my rights and without telling me that FSTs and PAS tests were all optional. Additionally, I was treated like an animal when having to give blood samples. All of this to stack the deck against me. Peter handled everything and ensured that the DA at the county where I was arrested had nothing to work with. He brought the relevant expert witnesses to testify the poor and unhygienic conditions that my blood sample was taken. In the end, I had a DUI with multiple enhancements reduced down to a simple speeding ticket. Thank you Peter for your help during this difficult time, I could not have made it without your help. For anyone needing services in DUI Defense, I highly recommend Peter and his team.

With my experience: Peter Johnson was/is a very profession, straightforward and knowledgeable attorney and knows the laws both federal and state and your best interest at heart, giving you all the options that best suit my case. And Jen his associate was so helpful. She always kept me updated on all court dates, appearances. And answered all my question in a very efficient manner. After talking to her and Peter, before the phone call ended you knew everything would workout and everything would be fine. Thank you so much for all you have done and your still doing. If your looking for a great attorney give Peter a call...differently a 5 star representation.

TEN Stars! Peter is an accomplished author and an amazing trail lawyer. It is no surprise to me that he was recommended by another attorney. There are so many reasons to choose your representation carefully. Do your research, and then make the right choice with Peter. His expertise and prowess in the courtroom are the best investment you can make for yourself. When the stakes are high and you cannot afford to lose, I fully recommend Peter Johnson.

I was pulled over by CHP back in 2017 after cutting off a driver who had been going too slow in the left lane. The officer asked me if I had consumed any drinks that evening, and I answered truthfully -- yes, but I had stopped 4 hours ago. The "yes" was only the answer he was looking for, and I was forced out of my car for field sobriety testing. The officer administered the tests multiple times until he was satisfied that he had a result he could exploit, then placed me into the back of his patrol vehicle and hauled me off to county jail. When I was released the next day, I asked my attorney friends for recommendations for a good DUI attorney. When I explained the nuances of my arrest and the ramifications of a potential DUI conviction on my career to the recommended attorneys, several of them referred me to the person they said they would want to represent themselves: Peter Johnson. It is not an exaggeration to say that Peter has written the book on DUI defense, because he has, literally; search for "California Driving Under the Influence Defense" by Taylor and Johnson, and you'll find the 2020-2021 edition, published by Thomson Reuters. I scheduled an appointment and met with Peter a day or two later. We got straight to the facts while they were still fresh, both of us writing down everything, and then explained to me his strategy: trust nothing about the "facts" provided by the officer, but question and verify everything. He then got to work, and oh man, did he do a good job. The field test results were thrown out by the judge because they were found to be improperly obtained. The blood tests were also suspect, as the DA's office had their lab test them five (!!) times, with varying results each time. Their own lab director refused to testify to the veracity of the results, which is just mind boggling. Peter said that he would fight for me, and fight he did: my case was recently settled to my satisfaction. I hope that you do not need his services, but if you do, give him a call. You will not regret it.

One sunny afternoon after tennis at McNeers, I was headed home down Lucas Valley Road, and missed the turn south onto Hwy 101. Not a big deal, I pulled onto the shoulder of the road to make a U-turn. I was driving a MB AMG GTS which is about 3" off of the ground on a good day. This particular shoulder has high grass (weeds) and hid the 2" dip which no one cares about UNLESS you are driving a car with virtually no clearance. My front wheels caught wrecking the entire front fender. I waited for help for >30" but NO one came by. I took a deep breath and floored the car in reverse knowing I was causing serious damage to the rest of the car. Suffice it to say, I managed to get the car back onto LVR headed east toward Hwy 101 to go home. BUT the car stopped. It just stopped right in the lane, a built-in MB safety factor when the car senses severe damage. I was able to get to the shoulder before it stopped rolling. I was relieved when a Sheriff Deputy pulled up behind me. However, that was a short-lived relief b/c she said she would call in the CHP and that is when my horrific day began to get worse. It was not enough that I had done $80,000 damage to my brand new car but this audaciously angry officer approached my window screaming ":YOU ARE DRIVING AND DRINKING." "I don't drink," I said quietly hoping to calm him down, to which he responded, "Then you are on drugs" and he took me to jail. I was released after 4 hours, driven home, stunned and with no car. I waited for two years for the DA to issue her indictment. The first attorney I had did nothing for one year. The 2nd attorney told me repeatedly how good he was and how well he knew the DA. A number of months went by and nothing happened; as it turned out, NO one had ever heard anything good about him. Then my personal attorney introduced me to Peter Johnson and the case was dismissed within six months. If you are ever receive a DUI, justly or otherwise, or you need criminal defense or have a civil rights claim, you need to call Peter Johnson and it will be the only phone call you need to make.
