Very bad firm . They charged me so much money for nothing. They charged me at the beginning for $2500 to review my criminal record. After 6 months, they called me to let me know I was clear with my criminal record to proceed to the second stage of the case. When to the interview again which they didn't know anything about me. Just like the first time. They asked a bunch of questions. So after they lady was going back and forth. She told me they can help but the need to pull other records that it was going to cost me $1500 more, I agree after a year and months some call me from then tell me that they won't be able to help me, because my criminal records. I told them the same things from the beginning, and they agreed to help me anyway . So basically, I got robbed cause I don't even know if I ever talked a real lawyer. I felt like going into a dealership. Don't recommend it at all
The staff I dealt with were unprofessional and misleading. They found my résumé online and contacted me for a job interview. Both recruiters I spoke with assured me that the position was remote—a key factor for me as a single parent with a disabled child. After I accepted their job offer, a supervisor reached out and informed me that I had been misled—the job was not remote after all. This misinformation cost me valuable time and effort and falsely raised my hopes. All the negative reviews do not surprise me. Fortunately, I dodged a bullet. Also, be aware that this company now operates under the name The United Firm. Proceed with caution.
Absolutely terrible. The worst group of representatives I’ve ever encountered. The amount of staff changes they have is absolutely ridiculous. They had new paralegals every two weeks and it was like starting your case all over again. If they didn’t know an answer they would straight up hang up the phone. Oh, but rest assured that the billing phone call was always on time. The account was paid on time and the service was completed years later. At some point after waiting for over a year, they contacted me to inform me that they forgot to file a document and the delay would take up to a full year to resolve. I, unfortunately did not have the budget to go elsewhere and had to rely on them to finish my case but I would NEVER recommend this group to anyone in good conscience. Please take your chances elsewhere.
Would give zero stars if I could, like similar reviews they charged us an amount ($4,000) if we paid in full vs making monthly payments so we went with the option to pay in full. Fingerprints were ran they new of our case since the initial consulation and still insisted they can help so we continued with them. They charged us another $4,000 to continue the case, this is just attorney fees, Immigration fees are separate from this total. Now they are stating they cannot help us at all and have decided to close our case after more than $12,000 down the drain. (Including Immigration fees & Fingerprint fees) This was the main issue we ran into while working with this firm previously known as "La Liga Defensora". It's a shame that they would take advantage of the Spanish community in this way, based on these reviews several clients have had very similar experiences to ours. It's also a shame that the Spanish radio would promote this business. Another concerning issue we ran into these past 4 years was that they kept changing representatives and paralegals. If you ever decide to work with this firm you will never know who is truly in charge of your case because nobody ever knows what's going on and if you ever run into problems be prepared because they will not help you they will just mention they are not in charge of your case. They will also hangup calls on clients. I have all e-mails to prove what I am stating and I also have several e-mails that I never received updates too because they simply never responded. Overall I wish we would have went elsewhere because the experience was horrible. Please do you're research before working with them.
This company steals money. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They took $1,000 in one hour, didn’t even start a service and now are taking $369 for themselves!! This is ridiculous!!!! I want to speak to someone who will issue me a FULL REFUND. I don’t want to speak with LAURA VELASQUEZ. She backs the company up by stating those are their fees. This company did NOTHING YET ARE TAKING A FEE FOR WASTING MY TIME!?! RIDICULOUS I WILL REPORT YOU TO THE BAR ASSOCIATION AND WILL EXPLOIT YOU.
