Spoke with him on the phone regarding a family law matter. His office is an hour away and on top of driving a 2 hr round trip, he was going to charge a $250 fee for a consult, and I've not been charged one dime for the previous few consults I've been to. Said he was going to charge a min if $5,000 to travel to my location and represent me, which I totally understand, as in his business time is money. Also was going to charge another $2,500 just to have my daughters last name changed to mine, so $7,500, and another $250 just to drive an hour 1 way to get his opinion on my case & he cant even guarantee me the outcome I'm hoping and praying for to get my daughter out of a potentially very risky/bad situation. Also was very rude and kept interrupting me so I didn't even get to explain the full situation. Would not recommend wasting time here unless you just have no e.g. to burn. I've got money to ensure my daughter is safe and well, and provide for her needs, but not to just "make it rain" so-to-say into someones bank acct on a shot in the wind that they are even any good, as I do not know him and am not paying him $250 to get to know him and explain my situation, then for him not to have the confidence or skill to proceed in the matter.
