Getting a divorce is hard enough on its own and if your ex-spouse is not compliant, getting an attorney to handle your case can not only be costly but extremely overwhelming. I began my interactions in mid December of 2023 and the divorce was final on 3/11/24. The case was completely closed on 6/27/24. It took that long because of the splitting of assets/retirement funds etc. I set up payment arrangements on a credit card so that I could just be billed as necessary and it reduced the back and forth. The entire process was seamless. Andrew Scheil was my attorney and Kelli Miller was my paralegal. The customer service, feedback and attentiveness to my case was punctual, respectful and appreciated. Thank you for removing some of the sting of a failed marriage.

Jenny Habecker is AMAZING! I've dealt with lawyers under various circumstances throughout my life. This was my first (and hopefully only time) engaging a lawyer in matters of family law. Jenny is trustworthy. She is genuine. She's engaged. She puts her client's needs first. She is diligent. She is incredibly knowledgeable. And, she isn't shy about pushing back when doing so is in the client's best interest. If you go into a court room with her, it's a thing of beauty. I'd never heard of a judge admitting that he or she had learned something from a lawyer; but, a judge admitted so to Jenny during the hearing of our case. I'd never experienced a lawyer's demeanor slink in retreat, but I witnessed the opposing council physically, noticeably concede as Jenny delivered her opening argument. Yeah, Jenny is good. Family / Divorce law is an emotional business, and the Wanzer Edwards team brings the full package: strategy, empathy, and the experience to navigate successful negotiations. They are fast to reply, attentive to all questions, and intentional in responses. Based on my case, I would also note that Elisabeth was very connected in Hamilton County (but I'm sure this extends to the entire Indianapolis area).

We paid over $7,000 for a child support edit with mediation. No court at all. Once all items were agreed to, it took 2 more months and we hadn’t heard anything. We had to remind the lawyer to follow up with court - which accrued more charges to tell them to do their job. Just to respond to an email they charge over $80.00 - one email. We spent over $7,000 to save $170 in child support a month for a child that aged out. It’s robbery. Jenifer O. Habecker was the lawyer. They will nickel and dime you to death.
