Thursday 12th of December 2024 at 9:30pm. All staff playing around on their phones. I needed help but did not get any. Time to change store. I will be calling corporate about this. Update. Checkout worker using cell phone. It is an hourly issue at this store. Jan 24 2025. 7pm.
Being forced to scan and bag my own groceries is complete B.S. The prices are the same yet now I have to work for them for free if I want to shop there?!? Corporate greed! Lately they have one cashier which is ridiculous but today none. I will not be going back. Giant Eagle from now on! Thanks for the generic response. Why would anyone spend more time by calling? Get it together on your own or keep losing customers.
Something must have changed because this is a beautiful store! There’s a welcoming selection of flowers, plants and candles when you enter the store. Vegetables and fruits are displayed beautifully. There’s a nice deli and a well stocked pharmacy section. Aisles are wide and shelves are neatly displayed with everything within reach, and there is a large variety of food and goods to choose from. The store is really clean. It even smells clean. And I’ve found the employees to be extremely friendly and helpful. They do have self checkout if you prefer, but I’ve always used a cashier. And they’ve been very nice to me. If you haven’t been to the Weiss on Old Camp Road lately, I strongly suggest that you give it a try.
We will never shop at Weis groceries on rt40 again. The place is filthy, they clearly had a power outage long enough to require massive restocks, there's rotting food on the shelves, and twice, we have had checkout people sneeze snot directly into their hands and have be to told to use sanitizer. (By us, not Management that's nowhere to be found.) We took everything perishable out of the cart and left. I pointed out to the deli manager on a previous visit that there was spoiled chicken in their $20 meat box sale. He then attempted to explain how I was incorrect. Today was the absolute end of shopping at Weis. I opened a package of Turkey Bacon and it smelled and was slimy! I have gotten expired rotten lettuce and continue to see it. Their Celery that is in a bag looked slimy and their Avacados are rarely fresh. Picked up a tomato a few weeks ago and it squished in my hand. I'm done.
