Reviews

Thomas went in to my case knowing that it was extremely high conflict, and fully aware of the long process it would be, however he diligently informed me of what was ahead at all times, and what my all of my choices were within my rights while providing careful guidance. My situation was not pretty at all, and required an ample amount of patience and compassion to understand my needs as client to ensure my outcome brought me the adequate security that my family needed. I will forever be grateful for the guidance Thomas provided during such a fragile time period. He was successful in establishing temporary and permanent custody orders to set a foundation for our coparenting going forward. I would recommend, and have recommended this law firm to anyone looking for family court needs and would 100% use them in the future!
I felt it was only right to provide another review for the second case Thomas from Hassler Lawfirm has handled for me. I found myself needing to seek a protection order and Thomas was immediately available and ready to get it handled, as it was a time sensitive situation. He was successful in my case in a very timely manner, while also being compassionate to my financial situation already being in a separate case. This law firm goes above and beyond to meet their clients needs and give them everything they need to make well informed decisions. I think it’s important to add that Jiselle up front is always polite and thorough! Thank you guys again for everything, I will always recommend Hassler Lawfirm!
Very disappointed with the service I received begin in August 2023. My case involved a 20+ year old divorce decree that was improperly worded to divide my federal pension. My case was settled for the most part due the work that I put in myself. I probably should have had a clue from the start, that my case wasn't very important to this firm. My initial appointment was canceled due to Mr Hassler being need in court...totally understandable. We reschedule for the following week. Once at the office I waited for an extended period of time before meeting with Mr Hassler. We then rushed through my paperwork, as he had to get on a call with the court. My case was then passed on to Sarah, she was great at first. She quickly wrote a motion to correct the improper COAP from 20+ years ago and filed that motion. The court signed it in days. But then the issues started. Yes it's the US government and nothing goes quickly. But Sarah pretty much relied on me to make contact with the legal department at Office of Personnel Management. I sent dozens of emails and made over 100 calls (mostly ignored) to OPM. I was told that the new court orders were sent to OPM in October 2023. I was calling and emailing OPM at least weekly to find out how much longer the process would take. Why was I responsible for this...I hired this firm to handle my case. Soon after, Sarah left the firm and my case was handed over to Rebecca. This is when thing got even slower. Rebecca never reached out to me to assist or update me my case. I had to initiate all correspondence. By January 2024, nothing had be done with my case at OPM. And every month that went by was costing my over $1000. After all of these months, Rebecca finally figured out that my new COAP had never even been sent to the court for a signature. So I had spent months arguing with OPM personnel over something they didn't even have. Once the court signed the papers, I was expected to wait weeks longer for the firm to receive the orders in the mail. Again...costing me more money. With this being all due to the lack of attention on the part of Mr Hassler and his employees someone could have gone and picked up my orders from the court in person. That's what I eventually had to do. And then I had to mail them it OPM myself. Once OPM corrected my court order and adjusted the proper payments to my ex-spouse, I requested the firm look into a refund of all the overpayment this delay had cost me. This was now April 2024. Rebecca's response.....I will talk to Mr Hassler. After several weeks of no response, I ask again. Same response...I'll talk to Mr Hassler.....Nothing! This whole situation has cost me over $20k in over payments to my ex-spouse. And a $3000 fee to the law firm to file a motion and a COAP that I basically did all the work to correct. The lack of attention to my case is the reason for my low review. When being contacted on a regular basis to ask questions, how is it that no one knew my COAP hadn't been filed for months. Easy answer.....you didn't even look at my file. So if you want you case handled efficiently and professional, this is not the firm for you. If you want to to most of the work yourself, have at it. They will gladly take your money.
Mr. Hassler and his Paralegal Becky were nothing short of amazing! They represented us in a child custody case and were on point every step of the way! Very responsive to any and all questions! Final orders were exactly what we wanted and they both didn't skip a beat with accurately representing our needs and wants! Would truly recommend them for any attorney needs you may have.
The team at Hassler law firm helped me through a rough patch of life and provided excellent service. Christine and Mr Hassler calmed my nerves and handled my case professionally, efficiently and best of all successfully. I appreciate their time and effort, and have no hesitation in recommending them for legal help.
