I worked with Dan back in 2020 on some business law. He was straight forward and honest. Once hired Dan and his staff answered all questions and made the process of selling a business and closing a corporation as easy and seamless as possible. I would highly recommend this law firm!
I do not recommend the Wood Law Firm. Through my experience with this firm, I was left feeling betrayed and hurt. My mother used Wood Law for estate planning, so after she passed away, I discussed problems related to the estate with her estate lawyer, Jessie Wood. Some of the information in my conversations with Jessie was very obviously private. In the end, she took these conversations and forwarded them to another family member without my consent. What I know from her actions is that she was not interested in treating a delicate situation with care. Instead, in my case, it seemed that she just wanted to push things through as quickly as possible. I believe that Jessie acted the way that she did because there was not any additional money to be made in helping me at that time. It made sense for her to forward our private conversations with no care for how I might feel because it saved the firm from doing extra work. I would never do business with the Wood Law Firm. I believe that this firm's behavior shows that they believe 'time is money,' but I strongly believe that this is very inappropriate behavior for lawyers in estate planning / family law. Edit: This is in response to the 'Response from the owner' posted on Dec. 2022. I never disagreed with the 'Final Account,' which is why I signed it. Does the fact that I signed and accepted the 'Final Account' mean that I was treated with respect throughout the whole process? No. These things can both be true—they are not mutually exclusive. I was not treated with respect, and I signed the paper. If my mother knew that this would happen—that I'd be treated so badly, she'd be rolling in her grave. Please notice how Wood Law states in its response that "...the former Personal Representative, has given me written consent to respond to this review." This means that Wood Law actively sought out permission from someone to communicate over Google reviews. I can only wish that they had provided me with the same courtesy and asked me before they sent my personal emails to others. I ask potential customers: Do you believe that the forwarding of personal emails without consent is "professional" and "ethical"? I don't, which is why I am spending my time writing this review.
The staff at this law firm are great! If you want someone to fight for you, you've got the right place. They are the best family law attorneys in the area!
Provide excellent advice. Take their time explaining process and details of your case. Would highly recommend for legal services.
