While the lawyer was very nice and competent, the bills are outrageous and keep on coming. It has taken more than a year to settle a very simple estate with no contentions to the Will. No real estate and one car. All bills were paid up front. No family drama. Yet it cost thousands and thousands to settle the estate. In comparison, with the same situation, the cost to settle my mom's estate was less than $500. So while they are great at preparing documents, the charges were quite excessive. Communication was poor and charges to communicate were also excessive. I was concerned several months ago with the costs and asked them not to do any more, and then received another bill with costs of over $400 to close out the account.
