Very disappointing response to three separate reports of abusive and bullying gang-like behavior based upon racism, ableism, sexism, ageism, classism and gossip by three guards that work the front desk and garage.
Screenwriting is a very important part of every movie every play every episode of your favorite shows. Back in the 30s people were treated like slaves no matter how famous you are no matter how well you wrote you made as many movies as you were told. Once United Artist studio was started by actors like CHARLIE CHAPLIN. Is fortunate now that we have guilds to protect our screenwriters and everyone involved in the making of media. It is just too easy to take advantage of a writer especially after the first time. Then there's the fact that scripts tend to to be re-written by multiple screenwriters. In the end even if your original script was changed into something barely recognizable, screamer a guild will remain on your side. On top of that they provide healthcare they provide safety I know you do a lot of events to improve people's writing ability. As a member of the screenwriters guild, you are given greater opportunity to at least do screenwriting related work. That is not necessarily actually writing a script.
Love the Writers Guild. It has won for writers protections that are invaluable, in terms of deals and residuals and fair and equal working practices. Above all, it created healthcare and a pension plan that are among the best in the world. Very few writers in other countries have the kinds of protections the Writers Guild of America has secured for US writers. We should all be thankful.
Lol, if you happen to read this, read the negative reviews on here. Imagine being so unhappy with your life that you give a guild of creative people that create for creating's sake a bad review. I digress. The WGA is, in my opinion, the single most important entity in all the industry. The amount of jobs created from ideas bought from scripts, the amount of inspiration that those same ideas bring to people around the world... if you're giving this place a bad review you need some alone time to sit in a corner and contemplate where your life is headed.
Stop with the scant WOKE window dressing training programs for the way way underrepresented Hispanics. Some of us members have enough on-the-job training. It’s demeaning and we should get beyond training to real work place competition. Like—- the rest of the exalted members for example.
