Frances Lynch is a trial attorney who has studied the art of trial techniques with faculty of the nationally known Trial Lawyer's College. In the course of her career, she has had many jury trials, and has successfully represented people in many communities and courtrooms throughout Arizona. She has devoted her career to protecting the rights of people and to educating non-lawyers about the judicial system.
Frances is a strong believer in taking the time to educate clients about their legal rights. She has taught Media Law at the University of Arizona Journalism College, is the author of the book Draw The Line: Guide to A Sexual Harassment Free Workplace, (Oasis Press 1995), is a contributing author to World of Criminal Justice (2001) Encyclopedia of Everyday Law (2002) Notable Black American Women (2002) and West's Encyclopedia of American Law (2004) all published by The Gale Group.
I come from a very un-traditional background for an American attorney. I was born to a working class family just outside of London, in the United Kingdom. My father was a foundry worker and my mother was a secretary. When I was young, our family immigrated to Canada, and then to the United States, where I became a naturalized U.S. citizen.
I was the first person in my family to attend college, graduating with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I then worked in Colorado as a newspaper reporter before attending law school. I received my law degree here in Tucson from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1988, and, as a law student, I wrote for and helped edit the Arizona Law Review. I'm licensed to practice law in both Arizona and Colorado.
Because of my background, I've always had a strong interest in public service and a background in helping people. I believe that by background has prepared me well for understanding the circumstances many injured clients face, including feeling like the little guy going up against the powerful insurance industry.
I've practiced civil litigation for 15 years. Prior to this practice, my legal career included working as a staff attorney for Southern Arizona Legal Aid and serving as Program Director for the The Tohono O'odham Advocate Program. My early legal career was focused on criminal litigation, where I was a prosecutor, public defender, and l a private criminal defense attorney.
Bill Bache and I have practiced law together for 10 years. My practice now is focused on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases.
