Mr. G. Kenneth Robertson, Associate

G. Kenneth “Ken” Robertson brings over 30 years of legal experience and perspective to the clients of Hendrickson & Long, PLLC. Since joining in the Spring of 2023, Ken has remained a staunch advocate for his clients, defending legal positions in all forms of litigation, including toxic torts, products liability defense, asbestos exposure, and other forms of business, commercial and insurance law. Ken comes to H&L after 30-plus years practicing at two other prestigious West Virginia firms, and has been admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia.

Ken graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia State University in 1989, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics, finishing second overall in his class. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he won the 1991 Bakers Cup for Appellate Advocacy and graduated in the upper 15% of his class. In addition to the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, Ken is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Above all else, Ken is a devout Christian and devoted husband and father. He is active at Bible Center Church serving in many capacities, including as a head usher, bus driver and on the SERT/Security Team. Ken is also a member of the Gideons International and speaks on behalf of the Gideons at local churches. He greatly enjoys spending time with his wife, Sylvia and children Katie, Cole, Elaine and Joel, all of whom reside in West Virginia. In his spare time, Ken enjoys hunting, camping, fly-fishing and shooting. He is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and green belt in Shorin Ryu Karate and acted as an assistant instructor for several years. Finally, Ken is also certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for Pediatrics, Children and Adults.
