About George

My experience spans more than 30 years representing accident victims and injured workers.  I represent injured clients across the entire state of Iowa.

The primary focus of my practice is personal injury.  I represent victims of car, truck, motorcycle and work place injuries, slip and fall victims, and others injured by the fault of another.  Personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis, so you don’t pay unless we recover money for you.  I also handle medical malpractice cases, workers' compensation, wrongful death, dog bites, as well as industrial accidents, products liability, and class actions.

I speak fluent Spanish and can assist Spanish speaking clients with a variety of legal needs.  Let me put my legal experience to work for you.

Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

My client was in a head on collision on a rural gravel road. The other driver's insurance company blamed my client. After I got involved, we settled the case for $250,000.

How did you build a successful practice?

I work hard to pursue my client's best interests in every case, large or small.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Competence, integrity, and open communication.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

In criminal law cases, local knowledge is paramount. In personal injury or family law matters, the rules are more uniform, so local knowledge is not as critical.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

Evaluation of the case and cost estimates.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

Contact information from the client and basic facts about the case.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I have nearly 35 years of experience representing injured people in several states. I have a broad legal background and have been recognized by clients and peers to have outstanding legal knowledge and ethics.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Helping clients solve their legal challenges.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Grandchildren, walks with my dogs, bird photography, travel, cooking, and spending time with family.

Are you involved in your community?

I am a volunteer minister in my church and have served as Lion's Club President, baseball and soccer coach, and Boy Scout leader.
