About George
George Clause received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 and his Law degree in 1979, both from Santa Clara University. He has tried over 75 jury trials and binding arbitrations in various fields including medical and legal malpractice, employment, insurance bad faith and motor vehicle accidents.
Mr. Clause currently devotes his practice to the defense of professional liability cases against physicians, hospitals, HMO's, Skilled Nursing Facilities, RCFE's, attorneys, real estate brokers and insurance agents. He also handles licensing matters for physicians and other health care providers and serves as a private arbitrator in medical malpractice cases. His clients include The Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, CNA Healthpro, Shand-Markel, Liberty International Underwriters, Lawyers Protector Plan and Pediatrix Medical Group.
Mr. Clause is an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is one of 50 attorneys in California specializing in the defense of medical malpractice cases to comprise the invited membership of the California Medical-Legal Committee and has been repeatedly named by his peers as a "Northern California Super Lawyer" in areas of healthcare and medical malpractice. He is a member of the American Inns of Court, William A. Ingram Inn, and holds the highest rating (AV) for professional ethics and ability from Martindale-Hubbell.
