She attended the University of Georgia, and graduated cum laude with a B.B.A. in Business Management and a minor in Spanish. Catherine attended law school at Mercer University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude, at the top of her class. She was a student editor for both the Mercer Law Review and the Journal of Southern Legal History, and clerked for various judges both in and after law school.
