Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut Karla received her B.A. in History at the prestigious, Ivey League, Yale University, and later obtained a Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Mercer University. Upon graduating, Karla moved to Valdosta, Georgia after attaining employment with the law firm Copeland and Haugabrook. Attorney Walker has been with the firm for 17 years; 13 of which as a partner. Warren Abel is an experienced, aggressive attorney who fights for those who are injured or are unable to work due to negligence. The son of two physicians, Warren had an early eye for science, a keen understanding for the value of health, as well as compassion for the welfare for others. Growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas afforded him the opportunity to surround himself with history. As an alumnus of Little Rock High School he has a unique, personal awareness of our nation’s integration crisis. Here he not only excelled academically, but played multiple sports where he further developed his leadership and advocacy skills. Warren is a graduate of Emory University and University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, Warren worked in 22nd Judicial Circuit Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in Benton, Arkansas. There, Warren tried and won his first case and assisted prosecutors on cases ranging from felony murder to vehicular homicide. During his second and third years of law school, Warren worked at the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s office, where he supported the felony prosecutors with trials and motions. Warren was noted by the clinic director for his outstanding work in the District Attorney’s office. Following law school, Warren worked at Heifer International, one of the top 10 charities worldwide, in Little Rock, Arkansas. After a successful stint at Heifer International, Warren returned to Georgia and began advocating for those who are wrongly injured across Georgia. Warren appreciates the culture, history, and sports our community has to offer. He enjoys hiking with his 2 dogs, playing basketball and golf, fishing, and music.
