About Gregory
In 1991, Gregory D. Rueb began his distinguished legal career. Over the last eighteen years, he has specialized in serious personal injury and wrongful death matters. From 1991 through 1992, Mr. Rueb started his legal career as a Contra Costa County Deputy District Attorney.
In 1992, he joined the Law Firm of Gordon, DeFraga, Watrous, and Pezzaglia in Martinez as an associate attorney. His initial primary areas of practice were personal injury, criminal defense, sports law and corporate law. By 1994, 90% of his practice focused on plaintiff personal injury and wrongful death.
In 1998, he became a partner and equal owner in the Law Firm of Gordon, DeFraga, Watrous, and Pezzaglia. Over the next 4 years, Mr. Rueb became the top-earning attorney in the Law Firm.
In 2003, Mr. Rueb established his own law practice. In 2004, Mr. Rueb founded the firm of Rueb & Motta and in 2005 formed the current firm of Rueb, Motta & Manoukian. Mr. Rueb is a skilled negotiator and a litigator with extensive courtroom experience. Mr. Rueb has tried over 60 cases to a jury and has never lost. He enjoys an outstanding reputation in the legal community.
Mr. Rueb was born in Anchorage Alaska and since 1968 has lived in the East Bay Area. Mr. Rueb is married and has three children ages 10, 7, and 4. Mr. Rueb is an Eagle Scout, a formerly accomplished trumpet player, and has excelled at most major sporting activities, including distinguished awards in football, baseball, basketball, rugby, golf and tennis.
In 1988, Mr. Rueb received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Chemistry from the University of Pacific. During his college years, Mr. Rueb spent his summers at several prominent Bay Area hospitals, working in a trauma center, an emergency room, and an operating room. In 1991, he earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law.
Mr. Rueb belongs to the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), the Contra Costa Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California and has been on either the campaign or the finance committees of six different candidates for countywide elections. He has lectured on personal injury law and has received numerous community awards.
Over his 18 years of personal injury experience, Mr. Rueb has settled approximately 95 percent of his cases without the necessity of trial. Mr. Rueb has recovered millions of dollars for his clients and has never lost a jury trial. Mr. Rueb specializes in serious injury and wrongful death matters and has handled numerous nursing home negligence and medical malpractice cases.
