About Gregory

Gregory J. Tierney received his B.S. in Chemistry from Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York, where he was enrolled in ROTC. After graduation he entered active duty with the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant and received training in missile launch operations at Vandenberg AFB, California. He was then assigned to the Strategic Air Command, Little Rock AFB, Little Rock, Arkansas, as a Titan II missile launch officer. While on active duty he went on to earn his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, School of Law, with law review recognition. He interned with the Arkansas Attorney General, Criminal Appellate Division and was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1977. He is a former Assistant Editorial Director of Matthew Bender, Inc., publisher of legal treatises, and was the Municipal Public Defender of the Borough of Dumont, NJ, for over ten years. Prior to joining Seigel Law Firm in 2003, Mr. Tierney had practiced in the areas of personal injury law and workers' compensation for twelve years. He is the most experienced litigator for the Seigel Law Firm in the areas of playground and school physical education safety. He continues to litigate in all counties of New Jersey. He is a lector for his parish of St. Therese, Cresskill, New Jersey, and enjoys hiking, reading and jazz music. He is married with two children.
