Erica Jackson was raised in Stafford, Texas, a small town near Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, graduating cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, she received numerous academic honors, including recognition as the university’s highest-ranking political science student, and was named both a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar and a W.E.B. Du Bois Scholar. Erica was initiated into the Beta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in 2010 and remains an active member, dedicated to serving her community through the organization’s programs and initiatives. Following her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Jackson earned her Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she attended on academic scholarship. She gained valuable legal experience as a law clerk for a personal injury firm and as a student attorney in the Southern University Divorce Clinic. After passing the Louisiana Bar Exam, Mrs. Jackson began practicing personal injury law and was later admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. Her practice has included matters involving automobile accidents, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, and multi-district litigation in mass torts. Early in her career, her drive and advocacy led to multiple six-figure resolutions for her clients. Mrs. Jackson later joined a prominent civil rights and personal injury firm in Jacksonville, Florida, where she merged her passion for justice with her legal practice. She worked on a wide range of cases, including personal injury, criminal defense, and civil rights litigation. Notably, she assisted in drafting a successful writ to the United States Supreme Court protecting her clients’ civil liberties. She also contributed to several high-profile cases that received both local and national media attention, refining her communication skills while working with diverse clients and media outlets. Among her career highlights was her work on an aviation negligence case that secured significant recoveries for military families, an experience she considers one of the most meaningful of her career. Her contributions across various cases have helped achieve judgments exceeding seven figures. Before joining KGS, Mrs. Jackson served as a briefing attorney at a personal injury firm, where she supported the commercial litigation team through legal drafting, research, and trial preparation. Her efforts also resulted in six-figure settlements and awards. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Jackson obtained her second bar license in the State of Texas. Outside of her legal practice, Mrs. Jackson enjoys reading, writing poetry, and crafting. A true Southern spirit, she finds joy in cooking homemade meals and values the comfort and connection they bring. She believes that compassion, clear communication, and sincerity are essential to resolving challenges, principles she brings to every client relationship. Mrs. Jackson is deeply committed to ensuring that every client receives dedicated, high-quality representation and the personalized attention their case deserves.

Khalid Aboujamous earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center (UHLC), where he further developed his advocacy and dispute-resolution skills. During law school, Khalid was an active member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Team and served on the Executive Board of the Muslim Legal Society. He also trained as a mediator and volunteered with the UHLC Mediation Clinic, assisting in the resolution of disputes referred by the Dispute Resolution Center of Harris County. Before joining KGS Law Group, Khalid practiced as a Personal Injury Plaintiff’s Attorney at Pierce Skrabanek PLLC. There, he managed a docket of more than 140 cases in both pre-litigation and litigation, gaining extensive experience in case management, client advocacy, and settlement negotiation. Khalid is bilingual in English and Arabic, speaking fluent conversational Arabic. Outside the office, Khalid is committed to his community and personal well-being: he stays active by exercising, playing and watching sports, and cherishing time with friends and family.

Serena D. Harmon is a trial attorney with experience litigating in both state and federal courts. In 1992, Serena earned her law school degree from South Texas College of Law. Prior to attending law school, Serena worked several years working in city government and earned a Master in Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Since law school, Serena has practiced several years as in-house counsel for an insurance company and as a personal injury insurance defense trial attorney. During the course of her career, her practice has focused on family law, small business owners and personal injury litigation. She has extensive experience in representing a variety of clients as a civil and as an insurance defense attorney, Serena is experienced in handling a variety of cases, including personal injury defense, insurance defense, premises liability involving slip and falls, negligent security cases, commercial litigation, and UM/UIM and trucking litigation.

Sarah Rayes is an Associate Attorney at KGS Law Group, where she represents clients in personal injury matters. Fluent in Arabic, Sarah's global perspective is shaped by her roots in Sudan and upbringing in the United Arab Emirates, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of clients. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Iowa and went on to earn her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. Prior to joining KGS Law Group, she practiced immigration law, honing her skills in client advocacy, problem-solving, and clear, compassionate communication. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys working out, traveling, listening to music, and videography.
