About Hope

Hope graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law where she earned a certificate of concentration with honors in family law. Prior to that she graduated summa cum laude from University at Albany, SUNY with a degree in English. While at Albany, she interned at the NY Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Bureau, mediating complaints between consumers and businesses. This internship sparked her desire to practice law and advocate for clients. Ms. Harris is licensed in CT.
 
During law school Hope spent a summer clerking at the Law Office of Peter D. Hoffman, where she gained experience in Special Education law and learned about the importance of advocating for every child’s right to a free and appropriate education. She went on to work as a Temporary Assistant Clerk at the New Haven Superior Court in Connecticut where she assisted pro se parties who could not afford a lawyer to file for divorce and obtain temporary restraining orders.  
 
Prior to coming to work at the Law Office of Peter D. Hoffman in September 2014, Hope worked at a Workers’ Compensation firm where she represented companies in administrative workers’ compensation proceedings.
 
Hope is certified by the Connecticut Superior Court as a Guardian ad Litem, which allows her to represent children and advocate for their best interests during divorce and custody proceedings.
