Notable Work
Criminal Defense
In approximately 2015, I tried a case against the S.E.C. in Rockwall. We were in trial for over a week. The offer from the S.E.C. was 20 years in prison. He received probation. In approximately 2018, I tried an embezzlement case in Denton County, a 1st-degree felony. He was found not guilty. In addition, I have found that the best defense, is a good offense. If I have a client who truly isn't guilty, I can either get the case "no-billed" or convince the DA not to file the case at all. Depending on the case, we might do polygraphs, do better investigation, hire other experts, and prepare "Grand Jury Packets", and packets for the DA. If we believe a client is guilty and the State can prove it, we work on mitigation of punishment, i.e. some sort of future dangerous expert, drug and alcohol rehab, AA, counseling, or in-house rehabilitation. Other times we might do counseling, anger management, etc.
