About Howard
Howard D. Mishkind is the President of Mishkind Kulwicki Law Co., L.P.A. He has 36 years experience as a trial attorney representing the interests of seriously injured citizens in Ohio. He has represented patients and their families in catastrophic personal injury cases throughout Ohio. He has a vast amount of experience in handling medical negligence cases from birth injury/birth trauma cases to nursing home cases to wrongful death claims. He has extensive experience in the trial of complex litigation where he has achieved multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for victims of medical, hospital and nursing negligence and their loved ones. He is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys (CATA), the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA). He is also a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an elite group of lawyers in the United States that have successfully litigated catastrophic claims involving verdicts and settlements well in excess of a million dollars. He has handled birth injury, birth trauma and other obstetrical claims, including shoulder dystocia and brachial plexus claims related to mismanagement of vaginal deliveries and has also handled catastrophic injury claims and deaths caused by childhood vaccinations. He is a former adjunct professor at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where he taught a course on medical malpractice. He has been a participant in multiple seminars on matters relating to personal injury, medical malpractice and trial advocacy issues. Mr. Mishkind is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Patient with Sleep Apnea Suffers Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest Following Appendectomy
Plaintiff, a 45-year-old male, presented to Defendant ABC Hospital for treatment of abdominal pain. During the postoperative period he exhibited signs and symptoms of sleep apnea with abnormalities in his heart rhythm. Despite his clinical course, John Doe was transferred from the PACU to an unmonitored medical floor without an EKG monitor, without pulse oximetry monitoring and without continuous blood pressure monitoring. Less than four hours later he was found in cardiopulmonary arrest. John Doe experienced a cardiorespiratory arrest that has resulted in anoxic encephalopathy. He is described as being in a persistent vegetative state. $7M Settlement.

I reed a 50 year old gentlemen who was injured due to a vaccine reaction and developed a serous complication. The outcomehas made it possible for him to live a normal life. I reed the family of a gentlemen that died due to the gross negligence of his doctor in prescribing narcotic medication at an excessive dosage. I reed the family of a baby that suffered a serious injury to her brachial plexus at birth and she will now be taken care of for life.
