Patient with Sleep Apnea Suffers Respiratory and Cardiac Arrest Following Appendectomy

During the postoperative period he exhibited signs and symptoms of sleep apnea with abnormalities in his heart rhythm. Despite his clinical course, John Doe was transferred from the PACU to an unmonitored medical floor without an EKG monitor, without pulse oximetry monitoring and without continuous blood pressure monitoring. Less than four hours later he was found in cardiopulmonary arrest. John Doe experienced a cardiorespiratory arrest that has resulted in anoxic encephalopathy. I reed a 50 year old gentlemen who was injured due to a vaccine reaction and developed a serous complication. The outcomehas made it possible for him to live a normal life. I reed the family of a gentlemen that died due to the gross negligence of his doctor in prescribing narcotic medication at an excessive dosage. I reed the family of a baby that suffered a serious injury to her brachial plexus at birth and she will now be taken care of for life.
