About Ian
Ian F. Harris is a graduate of the School of Management of the State University of New York at Binghamton and the Emory University School of Law. He worked during college for IBM at its corporate headquarters in Armonk, N.Y. and during law school for the Westchester County District Attorney and the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. He had an early career in general practice litigation in Westchester County, which gave him broad experience, trial and otherwise, in many practice areas. He practices primarily in the areas of construction claims, premises liability, and employment practices law. An accomplished negotiator and trial attorney, Mr. Harris has tried, mediated, or settled numerous high exposure, multi-party cases with outstanding results. For example, he recently obtained two defense verdicts in favor of a construction manager and contractor, respectively, in complex multi-party construction accident lawsuits and he obtained another defense verdict in favor of the State of New York in a premises liability case involving a fall from a second story window at a university. He has served as a mediator in the City Court of White Plains and has been appointed and now serves as chairman of the Town of Lewisboro Parks & Recreation Advisory Council. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section, The New York Building Congress, the Defense Research Institute, and the Westchester County Bar Association.
