Ian Hoffenberg has over 15 years of experience as an attorney. His experience includes experience with complex litigation matters, employment litigation, business and corporate litigation,commercial litigation, insurance matters, and real estate related litigation, including mechanics liens, contractor disputes, construction defects, housing court matters, and evictions.  Mr. Hoffenberg also has extensive experience with all types of commercial and real estate transactional matters.

Prior to starting the Law Offices of Ian B. Hoffenberg LLC, Ian Hoffenberg worked as inside counsel for one of the largest law firms in the world providing advice to attorneys in the Chicago office on real estate, liens, and other related matters. Mr. Hoffenberg's experience also includes writing memorandum opinions on a wide variety of civil cases as a judicial clerk in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, as well as subsequently working in private practice as an advocate attorney on all aspects of complex litigation matters.

After graduating from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in December, 2001, Ian Hoffenberg worked as a prosecutor for the City of Chicago while studying for the bar exam. Mr. Hoffenberg is also a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he completed a bachelor of arts in literature. He is a graduate of Chicago Kent College of Law where he graduated with honors and was recognized for his academic achievement.

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I helped a client through a very rough civil litigation matter. I have been able to do this with several other clients as well. I have also been able to help property purchasers through a very uncertain time.

You build a practice by always trying to remain humble and working hard.

Client should look for someone they feel comfortable with, and someone who is honest and knowledgeable.

Local knowledge is very important to success.

In a free phone consultation, I can provide insights on the process and experiences that are similar to the person calling for a consult. I, however, cannot provide legal advice until a potential client hires our office.
