About Irwin
As a first-generation American of both Filipino and Japanese descent, I have a unique compassion for those of you who wish to come to the United States in search of a better life for yourself and your family. I know that if it were not for the brave determination and hard work of my parents to immigrate to the United States, I wouldn’t have had the opportunities and freedoms I had growing up and continue to enjoy to this day. For this, I am thankful. But perhaps, isn’t it the parents who are even more thankful for being able to give their children what they did not have growing up?
However, the journey in search of the American dream for the immigrant is almost always never an easy one. Setting foot on American soil is literally only the first step for many immigrants in a long arduous quest through a maze of ever-changing government regulations. Without a dedicated and honest guide, immigrants can easily be misled into the wrong direction, traveling further and further away from their dreams.
