Mr. Gonzalez has been certified to practice law since 1997 with an emphasis on Family Law matters including divorce, custody, child support, juvenile severance, adoptions, domestic orders of protection and general family law litigation.
Prior to joining Wilson-Goodman and Fong P.C., Mr. Gonzalez served in solo practice as owner of the Gonzalez Law Group, P.L.L.C. since 2006, founding member of Nirenstein, Ruotolo, Krall & Gonzalez, P.L.L.C. from June 2003-December 2005 and as an associate with Goldberg & Jones, P.L.L.C. from 2001 to 2003.
Mr. Gonzalez, began his legal career practicing criminal defense and continues to provide advice and counsel to clients charged with criminal offenses in Superior, Justice and City courts.
A diligent counselor and an aggressive litigator, Mr. Gonzalez has a deep-rooted commitment to the community and practice of law. Mr. Gonzalez is a former member of the State Bar of Arizona's Conflict Case Committee and Committee on Minorities and Women in the Law; a former member of Los Abogados and East Valley Bar Association; a former member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and a volunteer for Community Legal Services for which Mr. Gonzalez earned the Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award in 2005 for his efforts in the community.
Mr. Gonzalez has devoted countless hours in providing legal assistance to victims of domestic violence. Mr. Gonzalez was named the 1999 Attorney of the Year for the Southern Arizona Legal Aid, Domestic Violence Law Clinic for his dedication and commitment.
Other community service projects include volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, Arizona Diamondbacks Ambassadors Committee, speaking at career days at Cesar Chavez High School and Wilson Elementary school.
Mr. Gonzalez received both his Bachelors of Science Degree and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
