About Jade

            Jade J. Rouzeau, Esquire was born in Atlanta, Georgia and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree majoring in International Business from the University of Georgia in May 2002.  Mrs. Rouzeau's achievements in undergraduate study including multiple Dean's lists, HOPE Scholarship recipient, and Pi Delta Phi National French Honor Society.  During college, she was a member of the University of Georgia International Business Society; Management Society; and Hillel.  She also studied abroad in Avignon, France where she enhanced her fluency in French and further developed her pallette for fine cheeses and great french wines.

 

            Following college, Mrs. Rouzeau served as Project Assistant in the Litigation Department of King & Spaulding, LLP in Atlanta , assisting in big tobacco and environmental litigation cases.  Thereafter, upon entering law school at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida, Mrs. Rouzeau served as judicial intern for the Honorable Jacqueline Schwartz of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit County Court in Miami, Florida; law clerk for Green, Smith & Associates, P.A. (a top-rated family law firm in Miami, Florida); and as a certified legal intern at the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office in Miami, Florida. Prior to entering law school, she also lived in Ale s, France where she taught English as a second language to middle school students.

 

            Mrs. Rouzeau graduated and received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2007 following a very active law school career.  During law school, Mrs. Rouzeau was the winner of her 1L Moot Court Competition and served as a judge in the competition the following year.  Mrs. Rouzeau also served as BARBRI Senior Partner Coordinator and Representative, PMBR Representative, Peer Mentor, Library Certified Research Scholar, Vice President of Religion of the Cardozo Law Society, Treasurer of the Family Law Society, and was a member of the Women's Law Society and the Helping Others Through Pro-Bono Efforts organization (H.O.P.E.).

 

            Mrs. Rouzeau's interest in the field of the family law started even before she attended law school and her skills, tough nature, and compassion serve our clientele superbly.  Upon joining the firm in October 2007, Mrs. Rouzeau's litigation skills immediately shined as she stepped into several cases involving complex financial issues and proved herself as an  invaluable asset to the firm.  Upon taking on her own caseload she began to receive immediate positive results and she continues to represent with passion, diligence, and high standards.  Mrs.  Rouzeau was immediately invited to join the Florida Family Law Inn of Court where she currently holds the position of Associate.

 

            Mrs. Rouzeau is already highly regarded amongst the Courts and her peers in the community.  Her unbridled enthusiam will undoubtedly shine far into the future through her passionate yet fair and pragmatic representation of her clientele with special concern for maintaining strong family values and consideration of children's interests.
