About James
Jim Coyle joined the firm in 2001 and has been a partner since 2004.
In his practice, he focuses on wills, trusts, and estate planning as well as federal tax controversies. He also assists clients with general business issues, including entity formation, corporate and partnership tax planning, sales and acquisitions.
A native of Gainesville, Jim has been active in many civic activities, including serving on the board of directors for the Gateway Domestic Violence Center, the North Georgia Community Foundation, and Lakeview Academy. He also has been involved in the annual Northeast Georgia Campaign for Brenau University, served as Chairman of the Planned Giving Committee for the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County, and has been on the advisory boards for Elachee Nature Science Center and Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Coyle earned his undergraduate degree in European History from Washington and Lee University in 1995, his law degree from Mercer University in 2000 and a master's degree in taxation from Boston University in 2001.
