introduction
James Phelan joined the firm in August 2007. Since then, his practice has focused on civil litigation, criminal, real estate, and family law matters throughout Northwest Wisconsin. James represents injured people, insurers, and businesses in a variety of legal matters.
During law school, James was an Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review and he interned with Chief Judge Walter Smith, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. After a few years in Texas, James and his wife Katie are happy to have returned to Wisconsin, and enjoy the outdoor activities the northland has to offer. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and playing guitar. They live in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin. James is an active member of the Douglas County Bar Association and the Superior Jaycees.
