About James
James R. (Jamie) Fox is a lifelong resident of West Virginia and graduated with honors from West Virginia University. Among his many honors and distinctions are graduating magna cum laude with a degree in political science in 198S and being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa for outstanding scholarship and academic achievement. Mr. Fox also attended West Virginia University College of Law and graduated in 1991 with the distinction of being inducted into the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Fox represents clients throughout the state and has extensive litigation experience, including successfully handling numerous trial and appellate court cases. He also has significant experience successfully defending clients in federal court criminal matters. The majority of his practice involves representing clients in complex personal injury, coal mining and industrial accidents, products liability, workplace injuries, automobile accident, and professional malpractice claims. He also emphasizes the importance of maintaining close personal interaction with all clients and thoroughly pursuing their claims in an effective and professional manner. In addition to an active litigation practice, Mr. Fox is a former member of the West Virginia Legislature, where he worked to improve the quality of life and educational system for the citizens of West Virginia, and helped develop important public policy affecting this state.
When he is not practicing law, Mr. Fox enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle Fox, who is also an attorney, and their three children, Alexa, Isabella and Preston. He is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys numerous sports, including golf, skiing, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, and racquet sports. He also belongs to a variety of organizations devoted to the pursuit of justice and protecting the rights of accident victims. Mr. Fox is a member of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
