Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

All cases that we handle provide an opportunity to make a difference in our clients' lives. People hire lawyers at some of the most difficult times of the lives when loved ones have died or been severely injured, are going thru domestic strife, have been arrested, or going through difficult civil litigation. We work hard on behalf of our clients to provide the best representation possible which, at the outset, gives our clients reassurance that we are in their corner and, in the end, hopefully gives them the resolution that hoped for.

How did you build a successful practice?

The Firm was established in 1960 my Jim T. Bennett, Jr. who had an amazing career in the law, politics, and as a Colonel in the United States Air Force. Mr. Bennett quickly established himself as an aggressive advocate for his clients. This trait was passed on to his son, Mike S. Bennett, Sr., and grandsons, Michael S. Bennett, Jr. and Jim T. Bennett, who continue to provide aggressive, and thorough, representation for their clients. Bennett Law Firm, LLP also has a great staff, including associate attorney, Kari Anne Bowden, along with very experienced legal assistants to help ensure substantial attention is provided to each and every client the Firm serves.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for an attorney with experience. The attorney's at Bennett Law Firm, LLP have more than 90 years of combined experience in the practice of law. In addition to experience, clients should look for an attorney that they can communicate with. We often hear stories of clients who cannot get attorneys to call them back or respond to questions. Our attorneys and staff will always strive to communicate with our clients and keep them informed of the status of their case. We want our clients to use our Firm for all their legal needs and to proudly recommend our services to others. We have proudly served families and business in South Georgia for multiple generations.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

It is extremely important for your attorney to have local knowledge to handle your case. Having experience and knowledge of the local judges, the local court rules, and knowing the area attorneys helps us ensure proper preparation of our cases for court and thereby gives our client's case the best opportunity to be successful.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

During the free phone consultation, we will spend whatever time is necessary to assess the issue the client has, get a full picture of the facts and circumstances at hand, answer any questions the client may have about their issue or about our representation, and then we will provide the client with an estimated cost for our services and a plan as to how we would handle their case.
