About Jane

Jane E. Joseph

Jane Joseph is one of the founding partners of the law firm of Skikos, Crawford, Skikos, Joseph & Millican LLP, and works out of the firm's Cleveland office.

Jane has dedicated her legal career to representing plaintiffs in pharmaceutical and medical device mass tort cases.  In the mid-1980s, she represented women rendered infertile by the Cu-7 IUD and went on to represent plaintiffs who used L-tryptophan, an over-the-counter dietary supplement found to cause eosinophilia myalgia syndrome.  Jane has also represented plaintiffs in litigations involving the Telectronics atrial "J" lead, the Norplant contraceptive implant, Albuterol, Diet Drugs, PPA and Vioxx.  Jane has taken a lead role in settlements involving hundreds of claims caused by use of the Ortho Evra contraceptive patch.

Currently, Jane is prosecuting claims on behalf of individuals diagnosed with Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF), a disease caused by exposure to gadolinium-based contrast agents.

Jane's area of expertise is medical causation and she has actively served on various federal multi-district litigation committees.

Jane received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980 from Oberlin College and spent one year studying at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She graduated cum laude from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1985. She is admitted to practice before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Courts of Minnesota and Ohio.
