About Raphael
Raphael Javid known simply as “RJ” by most is the senior trial attorney of The Javid Trial Firm. For two decades he has been a pioneer in the personal injury arena. His primary focus is trial advocacy and complex catastrophic personal injury litigation. His unique experience covers a broad range of different types of accidents from premises liability, product defect, government liability and civil rights. Countless law firms have referred Raphael their personal injury clients to litigate. He has a reputation for resolving cases for millions over the available policy limits and has paid seven figure referral fees to other law firms for a single client referral.
In 2019 Raphael sold BD&J the law firm he founded with his partners to resume his passion for jury trials. During his tenure the firm represented over 20,000 clients and recovered over $1Billion. Raphael now handles a limited number of cases at any given time and only represents clients whose matters he would argue to a jury.
The accomplishment Raphael is most proud of is that he has mentored dozens of attorneys who have gone on to build successful law practices. Raphael routinely is invited as a speaker so attorneys can obtain mandatory continuing legal education credit. He has served on the Board of Directors for some of California’s most prestigious organizations including the one closest to his heart, Sinai Temple.
