About Jean-paul
JP Hendricks is a partner with Maier Gutierrez & Associates and a senior litigation attorney in the firm’s business and commercial litigation department. JP has an extensive commercial litigation background, including business litigation, real estate, discrimination, intellectual property, and administrative law work. He has experience both on the plaintiff and defense side, as both in-house corporate counsel and in private practice with law firms. JP joined the Maier Gutierrez & Associates team because of the firm’s reputation for bringing clients top-shelf legal work in a small-firm environment.
JP grew up in Utah, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communications at Southern Utah University and an MBA from Utah State University. JP then came to Nevada, where he graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After completing law school, he remained in Las Vegas – which has been JP’s home for over 25 years.
JP began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for United States District Judge James Mahan (District of Nevada). JP gained experience assisting Judge Mahan with all facets of civil and criminal docket management, legal research, and trial. Next, he joined Morris Law Group, where he practiced complex commercial litigation in various areas, including real estate law, discrimination, administrative law, and intellectual property. Most recently, JP served as corporate counsel for the Siegel Group, where he managed all aspects of in-house litigation from initial case filing through arbitration or trial.

He is also a licensed Nevada real estate broker with a property management certification. When he is not working, JP enjoys traveling with his family and loves deep-sea fishing in Mexico.
