For over Twenty-Five (25) years, Matt Abbott, “The Outlawyer®,” proudly represents the legal needs of those with personal injury and wrongful death claims. When insurance companies won’t do the right thing, Matt steps in to hold them accountable and make them pay. Matt grew up in Pell City, Alabama, and moved to Huntsville in 1987. He graduated from Grissom High School, where he was Drumline Captain for two (2) years and an award-winning Jazz Band drummer. Matt accepted a scholarship and played snare drum with the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band in 1992. After having “too much” fun, Matt came back to the Tennessee Valley as a scholarship drummer for the Calhoun Community College Jazz Band. During this time, Matt earned a living playing in rock bands throughout the Huntsville and Decatur areas while also working as a forklift operator for a lumber company. Matt graduated from Calhoun Community College with Honors before enrolling at Auburn University, where he completed his bachelor’s degree with Honors in 1997. In 2000, Matt graduated from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University as Class President, where he excelled in the school’s trial advocacy program, earning multiple awards, including a National Championship in 2000. Matt was admitted to the State Bars of Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, where he remains recognized to practice in all state and federal courts. Matt began his practice with a large Birmingham personal injury law firm in 2000. He went on to work at a smaller personal injury law firm in Pell City, Alabama, eventually opening his own personal injury law firm in 2007. Since that time, Matt has represented clients all over the state based out of his office in Birmingham, expanding with a second location in Huntsville to serve the needs of the Tennessee Valley in 2023. “The Outlawyer” is a registered trademark obtained in 2016 and used by Matt to capture/display his cavalier and independent spirit as a person, community leader, patriot, and lawyer for the people. Sara has litigated a variety of cases across the State of Alabama, including premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death and trucking cases. Sara began her legal career as a civil defense attorney and has worked for some of the preeminent litigation firms of the State. She is now excited to have the opportunity to utilize her litigation skills to help those who have been injured and their families. Sara is an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at Cumberland School of Law and also serves as a coach for Cumberland School of Law’s nationally ranked mock trial teams.

Treasure Sutton is an Associate Attorney at Singleton Schreiber, based in the firm’s Birmingham office. Her practice focuses on personal injury and premises liability, where she draws on a strong foundation in trial advocacy and a deep commitment to justice for underserved communities. Treasure brings meaningful experience to her role at the firm, having supported the resolution of over 100 personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability claims. She has also gained exposure to serious criminal matters through internships and clerkships, where she assisted in trial preparation, legal research, and client communication. Her background includes working closely with attorneys and judges on a variety of legal issues in both trial and pretrial settings. A graduate of Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Treasure was a standout member of the National Trial Team, earning accolades including the William J. Peeler Advanced Trial Advocacy Award and the Michael V. Rasmussen Excellence in Trial Advocacy Award. She served as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association and Secretary of the Student Bar Association and participated in a study abroad program at Cambridge University, where she explored global legal systems and human rights issues. Treasure is passionate about community engagement and has served as a community outreach correspondent for her church, Living Stones Temple, a local nonprofit organization. In that role, she helped launch digital platforms and coordinated food distribution efforts for families during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is also an active member of the church, where her dedication to service continues to inform her client-centered approach to legal practice.
