About Jeffrey

In 2007 Jeff received his B.A. summa cum laude in history from Oregon State University. During studies at Willamette University’s College of Law and Atkinson Graduate School of Management, Jeff completed two academic terms at Bucerius College of Law in Hamburg, Germany. Also while studying at Willamette, Jeff clerked for the Honorable Dennis J. Graves in the Marion County Circuit Court and with Nelson & McNeil P.C., a law firm which specializes in personal injury claims. In 2012 Jeff concurrently received his M.B.A. degree with honors in Business, Government and Not-for-Profit Management and his J.D. degree cum laude. Upon completing his MBA and law school training, Jeff joined John Wittwer Lawyers in Sweet Home, Oregon as an associate lawyer.

While at Willamette University, Jeff made a run for the Oregon House of Representatives. With continued interest in public service despite not being elected to the Oregon Legislature, Jeff successfully sought election to the Sweet Home City Council for a four year term. In 2016 the Independent Party of Oregon and the Libertarian Party of Oregon nominated Jeff as their candidate for the Oregon House of Representatives. Jeff has served as a volunteer firefighter and as a member and safety director on the Board of Directors for AYSO Region 870 (youth soccer). He coaches local youth soccer teams. Jeff is an Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout adult leader, and a member of the Sweet Home Rotary Club.

Jeff and his wife, Stephanie, have five active children. They enjoy gardening, fishing, ballroom dancing, and socializing with extended family members and friends. Jeff and Stephanie facilitated interfaith charitable service projects in the Sweet Home area by maintaining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ justserve.org website.

Jeff lives by Willamette University’s motto: “Not unto ourselves alone are we born.” He grew up in the Willamette Valley and is grateful for opportunities here to provide legal services to clients with excellence, to be a supportive and loving husband and father, and to continue service to his community.

In 2017, Jeff left John Wittwer Lawyers to open his open practice in Corvallis: Heart of the Valley Law LLC, Jeff remains committed to compassionately providing excellent legal services at an affordable rate to clients from all across Oregon and around the world.
