About Jeffrey
Mr. Steinfeld is an honors graduate of John Hopkins University and received his law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1985. He is admitted to the N.J. State and Federal District Courts, the Second, Third and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. He was an Assistant Deputy Public Defender with the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender, Appellate Section, from 1985 to 1988, handling Criminal Appellate work in the Appellate Division, New Jersey Supreme Court, and Federal District Court. From 1988 through 1999, Mr Steinfeld practiced criminal defense and civil litigation with prominent firms and attorneys in Northern New Jersey. Mr. Steinfeld joined the Rem Zeller Law Group as an Associate in October, 1994. In 2002, he was elevated to Partner. He left the firm in March of 2010 to establish his own law office, known as Jeffrey B. Steinfeld, P.C.
For most legal services, Mr. Steinfeld offers a flat fee. No two cases are alike and, accordingly, no two fees will be the same. Since the amount of time he will need to spend on your case can never be predicted with precision, he will do his best, after an initial consultation with you, to approximate how long the case could take and base his fees accordingly. Mr. Steinfeld will also advise you of any costs that will be involved, such as USCIS filing fees, courier costs and translations. Of course, there may be variables that cannot be anticipated in any legal case, but Mr. Steinfeld will give an honest effort to try to help you determine and anticipate all the costs involved.
