JEFFREY NEIL YOUNG is a graduate of Brown University and Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court and the state and federal courts in Maine, the District of Columbia, and Maryland as well as the First, Second, Fourth and Ninth Circuit U.S. Courts of Appeal. Jeff is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, Maine Employment Lawyers Association, Maine Civil Liberties Union and National Employment Lawyers Association. He currently is co-chair of the Maine State Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law section.  In 2007, Jeff was named the Disability Rights Center's Lawyer of the Year.  He also was one of only two Maine lawyers named as a Super Lawyer for Plaintiffs - Employment Discrimination.  His practice is limited to representing employees and unions in employment disputes, concentrating on age, sex, race and disability discrimination matters as well as wage and hour and ERISA (pension) matters.  Jeff serves as a chapter editor for BNA's Employment Discrimination Law treatise and has been recognized by his peers in Best Lawyers in America (Labor & Employment Law), Who's Who and Chambers USA.  He is a frequent lecturer and teacher on employment-related topics, including at the George Meany Center for Labor Studies in Silver Spring, Maryland. Prior to joining McTeague Higbee, he worked as a lawyer in Washington, DC and before that as a union organizer for the Service Employees International Union. He is also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
