About Jere
JERE JAY BICE graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980. He attended the Loyola University School of Law, from which he graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1988. He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1988.
Mr. Bice has been in private practice in Lake Charles, Louisiana since 1990, having initially started in Lafayette in 1988. He is a partner in the firm of Veron, Bice, Palermo & Wilson, LLC. His practice area focuses on serious personal injury and maritime law. He has litigated a variety of personal injury cases including those involving medical malpractice, automotive and medical product liability, industrial/workplace safety, automotive/trucking and premises liability. In his maritime practice, he has handled numerous cases involving the Jones Act, OCSLA, LHWCA, DOHSA, and general maritime law.
Mr. Bice is admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Louisiana, and in the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Louisiana Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. He was named a Super Lawyer by his peers in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He was also named to the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. He is also a certified mediator.
