About Jerome
Experience
Name partner Jerome L. Ringler is regarded as one of the premier trial attorneys in California, having tried over 75 cases to verdict with phenomenal success. He has achieved the rank of Diplomate, the highest level of achievement in the American Board of Trial Advocates and a rank attained by only a small fraction of lawyers in the United States. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an elite organization of courtroom attorneys which selects its members from the top of the crust of the trial bar. Indeed, membership is limited to 500 lawyers from the United States judged to possess, to an exceptional degree, superior skill and recognized ability in trial and appellate practice, and to be of excellent character and absolute integrity. Mr. Ringler has also been awarded "best of" recognitions by various media and legal associations such as Super Lawyer magazine, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, California Trial Lawyers Association, and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Mr. Ringler's practice focuses on the trial of catastrophic personal injury matters, business torts and class actions. Mr. Ringler has served in a leadership role on numerous occasions involving state-wide mass tort actions and has served as well in a leadership role involving a national class action. Mr. Ringler served as co-lead counsel in the Glendale Metrolink Derailment Disaster coordinated mass tort action involving eleven deaths and over one-hundred injuries which at the time was the largest commuter rail disaster in our nation's history. He also served as co-lead counsel in the Chatsworth Collision Metrolink coordinated mass tort action which currently stands as the largest commuter rail disaster in our nation's history and involved casualties which included twenty-five deaths and over one-hundred injuries. Additionally, Mr. Ringler has served as co-lead counsel in the Placentia Metrolink collision cases and the Burbank Metrolink collision cases where he successfully obtained multi-million dollar jury verdicts for the lead plaintiffs in each of these matters. Finally, Mr. Ringler was appointed as one of nine lead attorneys to prosecute a national class action against Toyota Motor Corporation arising out of the sudden acceleration claims filed by hundreds of attorneys across the country. The Toyota national class action is one of the largest national class actions prosecuted over the past twenty years in the United States. Selected jury verdicts and settlements obtained by Mr. Ringler are provided on this web page together with news and press reports which analyze his stellar results.
