Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I had a very rewarding case where they denied just about everything over the course of a couple years - compensability, treatment, reimbursements, wages... we got that all turned around and got her a settlement which gave her the money to dictate her own care and treatment.
How did you build a successful practice?
We focus on client/attorney communication, local networking with providers, and staying up-to-date on the latest laws.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone who specializes in the area of law they need and who knows how to handle their case from that first intake all the way to (multiple) court appearances.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
You definitely have to understand state law and the nuance of a particular practice area.

How the workers' compensation system works generally and a road map of where we will take and help their case specifically.

We managed departments at big firms and took that experience to create a better, more hands-on experience for each individual client we help.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping people through difficult times and being their advocate in a confusing and often overwhelming legal system.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Family time, hiking, reading, snowboarding, softball, board games, and painting.

Yes, I help teach games in our community, volunteer, and participate in small business events.
