Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

We did a wage and hour class action case, where the employer had misclassified its "field service engineers/technicians" as exempt from overtime. This is a fairly large employer with offices all over the U.S. This lawsuit settled and the employer paid the unpaid overtime, and also changed its policy and started paying overtime to all its affected employees.

How did you build a successful practice?

In our practice we care for our clients, and advocate for them zealously, and this has been the underpinning of our successful practice.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for a few characteristics, such as: Knowledge: Is the lawyer knowledgeable and well-versed in that area of law; Experience: Has the lawyer handled similar cases before, and how much experience the lawyer has in that area of law; Ability to communicate: Does the lawyer understands your issues and clearly communicates the legal information in simple terms to you; Personality/Rapport: Is the lawyer someone you can get along with? Good chemistry will ensure a better relationship and more positive results.
