About Jesus

Jesus M. Suarez practices in the area of bankruptcy. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Suarez served as a staff member and law clerk to the Florida House of Representatives Economic Expansion and Infrastructure Council, where he served as the staff person responsible for over twenty bills presented during the 2008 legislative session. Additionally, he co-authored the interim project report titled A Study to Evaluate Florida's Economic Development Program, on the behalf of the Committee on Economic Development. Mr. Suarez also co-authored an interim project report titled Developing and Financing the Florida Department of Transportation's Five Year Work Program, on the behalf of the Committee on Infrastructure. Both articles were published by the Florida House of Representatives and were instrumental to the drafting of council legislation during the 2008 legislative session.

Mr. Suarez received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2008. While attending law school he served as a research assistant for the Law & Policy in the Americas Program, as a member of the International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team, and was an international tax return coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic. Mr. Suarez was also inducted into Florida Blue Key in the spring of 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago, where he majored in finance and international business.
