Joe Boyd | Attorney

Mr. Boyd was born and raised in Southern Maryland. Mr. Boyd graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology. He went on to earn his Master’s degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Following law school, Mr. Boyd accepted a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Karen H. Abrams, former Administrative Judge for the Circuit Court of St. Mary’s County. Following his clerkship, Mr. Boyd joined the St. Mary’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, eventually becoming the lead prosecutor for vehicular homicides. As a prosecutor, Mr. Boyd also served on the board of the St. Mary’s County Adult Substance Abuse Recovery Court.

Mr. Boyd is a member of the Maryland Bar Association (MSBA) and St. Mary’s County Bar Association.

Mr. Boyd resides, with his wife and children, in St, Mary’s County. Mr. Boyd is an avid Baltimore sports fan.
