About John
John R. Ardaugh became a partner at Spesia, Ayers & Ardaugh on January 1, 1994. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1980 with a B.S. in Marketing and Business Administration. In 1986, Mr. Ardaugh received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School, graduating with distinction. During law school, he served both as a staff editor on The John Marshall Law Review, as well as an associate justice on the Moot Court Board. Mr. Ardaugh authored "Mandatory Disclosure: The Key to Real Estate Brokers' Conflicting Obligations," The John Marshall Law Review, 19:1 (Fall, 1985).
Mr. Ardaugh is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and all Illinois state courts.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Ardaugh handled the defense of construction related litigation. In 1988, he became affiliated with this firm and has broadened his practice areas to include municipal law, business law, probate, trusts and estates, estate litigation, real estate, zoning and other related areas. Mr. Ardaugh is the past president of the Will County Bar Association and is currently a member. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and serves as a pro-bono attorney on various matters for Will County Legal Aid. He is a lifetime resident of the area and is actively involved in various civic organizations.
