JOHN BONELLO

John Bonello counsels businesses on a range of matters, such as softwarelicensing, technology outsourcing transactions, service level agreements,privacy and security issues, internet and e-commerce law, intellectual propertyprotection, and complex commercial transactions. Mr. Bonello has extensivelitigation and arbitration experience and serves as an arbitrator for theAmerican Arbitration Association, where he focuses on information technologydisputes.

Mr. Bonello is an active member of the Information Technology Association ofAmerica's Application Service Provider Committee where he spearheaded thepreparation of the ITAA's "ASP Service Level Agreement Guidelines" andrecently co-chaired a committee that prepared the ITAA's  "ASP ServiceLevel Agreement Guidelines for the Health Care Sector." Mr. Bonello is afrequent speaker on information technology law issues. He recently presented theITAA sponsored webcast "A Primer for IT Service Providers on Health CareSector Legal Issues." Mr. Bonello has been interviewed and quoted inInfoWorld, Network World, and Hosting Tech and is featured in the ITAA ASPResource Center CD Rom.

Mr. Bonello was appointed to the Virginia Joint Commission on Technology andScience, Advisory Committee on Privacy. He serves as Executive Director of theDemocracy Development Institute, which provides pro bono legal services todeveloping countries. Mr. Bonello has also authored a White Paper entitled"Evolving Developments in the Health Care Sector for Information TechnologyService Providers."

Mr. Bonello received his B.A. degree in 1988 from the University of NotreDame and his J.D. degree in 1991 from the Columbus School of Law, CatholicUniversity of America, where he served on the editorial staff of the CatholicUniversity of America Law Review.
