About John

John A. Buric is a partner at Warner Angle Hallam Jackson & Formanek PLC and is an experienced attorney whose diverse practice encompasses many areas of the law, including commercial and civil litigation, construction, business transactions, mobile home/manufactured home law, contracts, landlord-tenant, the rental car industry, state administrative proceedings, and general litigation. Mr. Buric received his B.A degree, cum laude, from Augustana College, IL, in 1985. While at Augustana College, Mr. Buric majored in business administration and was also President of the Student Judiciary Board, Vice President of the Beta Upsilon Sigma Business Fraternity, Treasurer of the Gamma Alpha Beta Fraternity, and a radio disc jockey. Mr. Buric is also an accomplished musician, having played lead trumpet with various jazz bands, first trumpet with concert bands and orchestras, and piccolo trumpet with the Handel Oratorio Society. Mr. Buric currently performs with the Scottsdale Concert Band.

Mr. Buric received his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law, in 1988, where he was a member of the Iowa Law Review. In 1988, he also served as a law clerk/extern to the Honorable James Duke Cameron, Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court.

Mr. Buric has been involved in numerous organizations and honor societies, including Omicron Delta Kappa, ARISTEIA, Mortar Board, and he is listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities and Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans. Mr. Buric is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association (member, construction law and litigation sections), the State Bar of Arizona, and is an associate member of the Manufactured Home Communities of Arizona.

Mr. Buric is admitted to practice law before all courts in the States of Arizona and Colorado, The United States District Court of Arizona, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Buric also serves as a Judge Pro Tem in the Civil Division of the Superior Court for Maricopa County.

Commercial and Civil Litigation
Mr. Buric has been involved in a wide variety of commercial and civil litigation matters and appeals, including business and real estate disputes, contract actions, warranty claims, construction, negligent building inspections, collection, employment, tort claims, homeowners association disputes and rental car industry issues. Mr. Buric also represents individuals and businesses in State administrative proceedings, such as the Registrar of Contractors and the Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety.

Business Law
Mr. Buric represents and advises a variety of businesses on transactions, contracts, negotiations, litigation and day to day business issues. Mr. Buric has been involved in business purchase and sale transactions, franchising, litigating and resolving business disputes, contract and lease drafting, contract disputes, real estate transactions and real estate litigation.

Construction Law
Mr. Buric represents diverse building trades, including general contractors and sub-contractors. He also represents the owners of homes and other buildings who have been victimized by defective construction practices. Mr. Buric advises both contractors and property owners, brings and defends lawsuits, assists in resolving disputes between contractors and property owners, and represents parties in matters before the State of Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Mr. Buric is an author of numerous educational articles for the construction industry and also presents construction related educational seminars.

Consumer Law
Mr. Buric has represented numerous individuals in consumer matters, including those involving purchase and sales transactions, contracts, theft of money and products, real estate, negligent home inspections and consumer fraud.

Mobile Home/Manufactured Home/ and RV Community Law Since the late 1980's, Mr. Buric has exclusively represented and advised the owners, investors and professional property managers of manufactured home communities, mobile home communities and recreational vehicle communities across Arizona on hundreds of matters involving state and federal law issues. Representing these unique residential communities requires an assimilation of numerous complex state laws, federal laws and business concepts. Mr. Buric represents communities owned and operated by local Arizona individuals and businesses, as well as those which are owned by out of state individuals and businesses who desire quality legal guidance and assistance for their local management. Mr. Buric assists these communities in developing proper documents and procedures to comply with the law, avoid problems and improve the communities. Mr. Buric also has significant experience representing and defending communities in actions brought before the Arizona Department of Fire, Building and Life Safety. Mr. Buric has been called on to provide expert opinions and analysis of various issues, he regularly authors articles on important issues and he frequently presents educational seminars to the industry.

Landlord-Tenant Law / Real Estate
Mr. Buric has been involved in hundreds of landlord-tenant matters and focuses exclusively on representing landlords in preparing leases and customized rental documents, negotiating the resolution of landlord-tenant disputes, and representation in both court and administrative proceedings.  He has also assisted clients in numerous real estate matters.

Homeowner Association Law
Mr. Buric represents homeowners, homeowner associations and property management firms on a diverse array of matters, including revising documents, property disputes, disputes arising out of Association documents and covenants, construction defect claims, contracts, corporate, real estate and other unique or complex matters. Mr. Buric has restricted his practice in this area of the law and does not represent homeowner associations in their day-to-day operations. 

Mediation
Mr. Buric is a skilled mediator who has successfully served as an independent mediator on numerous cases. The great majority of cases in which Mr. Buric has served as a mediator have been successfully resolved to the satisfaction of the participants, bringing the litigation to a conclusion and avoiding further expense for the participants. Mr. Buric is available to serve as a neutral mediator to assist parties in resolving disputes without the need for proceeding to trial.
