Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I made a difference in the lives of children by taking to trial a divorce case, and convinced the judge to order supervised visitation on the parent, despite that parent being the primary caretaker.
How did you build a successful practice?
By being down to earth, adapting to changing technologies, treating everyone with respect, charging reasonable rates, and by being competent.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Years in practice, experience in the subject matter, organizational skills, whether they return calls quickly, reasonable rates, and whether they explain things in easy to understand terms.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge (mine and others) can be important to the success of my cases.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
Virtually anything can be discussed in a free initial phone consultation. More protracted strategy, tactics and information should be reserved until after a potential client becomes an actual client because an intensive amount of information gathering and discussion is needed to adequately answer some questions.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
I need the reason for the call, whether there are children in involved, the length of marriage, the respective incomes, the assets, and the debts involved.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Things that may differentiate some lawyers is length of practice, prior experience, concentration in a certain field of law, and how much trial experience one has.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Being able to bring closure to the case, whether it be by settlement or litigation.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Travel, shooting, comedy, and boating.
